Our lab aims to maximise the quantity and quality of new biological knowledge that can be derived from the large multivariate datasets generated by today’s high throughput bioanalytical protocols. In practical terms this involves using advanced computational and statistical methods to develop algorithms and software for the analysis of data from techniques such as high throughput sequencing and biomolecular mass spectrometry.
The group is based in dedicated accommodation at Queen Mary’s Mile End campus, in the heart of dynamic East London. We have our own computing facilities and also benefit from high performance computing facilities as part of the MidPlus consortium.
The group was originally established at Cranfield University in October 2000, and moved to Queen Mary University of London in April 2013.
